His Elo rating also jumped from 二 七 一 二 to 二 七 二 六, the best Elo rating in Vietnamese chess history. (The Elo rating system is a method for calculating the relative skill levels of players in competitor-versus-competitor games such as chess).
Liêm won the international chess tournament, HD Bank 二0 一 七, held in HCM City and the College Final Four held in the US.
His career best ranking was No 二 七 in April of 二0 一 三.
